Dr Tom Risbridger
Former Group Member
Tom studied chemistry at the University of Bath
and did a final year research project investigating the effect of block copolymers on
the mesoscale structure of self-assembling surfactant templated films.
After graduating in 2009, he studied for a PhD at the same institution under the
supervision of
Dr Petra J. Cameron
, during which he developed and characterized dye sensitized solar cells containing aqueous electrolytes. Tom came to the University of Bristol in August 2013 to work on a project in collaboration with the Perriman and
Anderson groups developing hybrid bio-inorganic enzyme materials for electrocatalysis. His work currently focusses upon electrocatalysis with perovskite type metal-oxides for methane oxidation and oxygen evolution in alkaline solution.
